The Day Following "Chicken Day"

Only one day after processing meat birds, another batch of baby chicks arrived on the farm.

Dan and I were taking a steer to Troy for processing.  He drives; I go over the cut sheet with them, just in case there is an unclear instruction, so that when we pick up the cuts in thirty days we are not missing all the cool things people want to purchase, like flatiron, tri-tip, and hangar.

We were on our way up Jay Peak when we received the call from the Highgate Post Office that our birds had arrived, so we picked them up on the way home.  We promised the Post Mistress (if they call her that, anymore) that we would be home to retreive the turkey chicks that are also due this week.

All the peeping from inside the shipping container drives them crazy, and there's a "postal" joke in there somewhere, but I can't find it.
