Chicken Day came off without a hitch, and along with the pulled pork from the other day (presented as sandwiches with homemade BBQ sauce) we had:
grilled roasted vegetable/beef quesadillas,
creamy cole slaw,
and a wheat-free macaroni cheese with bacon.
It was a bad day for the Cornish chickens, but a great day for us. Seventy birds are ready to sell at farmer's market this weekend, weights range from 6 lbs. to 11lbs. They are larger than I wanted, but it is what it is - we can't seem to grow wee chickens on the farm.
