Mike the cat wanted a piece of it real bad and tried to jump out the window, but the commotion of me grabbing him and screaming scared the bird onto the upper roof.
Two hours later, Dan spotted it roosting in a tree on the front lawn, crawled toward it on his stomach, and grabbed for it when a large tractor trailer drove by (distraction).
It's safe in the winter pen with the other chickens, now. Job well done!
