The chickens are outside!
We parked the mobile coop in the "spare pen" this year, where we usually rehab injured birds. This is in order to fill in the dirt baths and regrow the grass in their designated pasture.
They are pretty serious about digging holes, and filled the pasture with so many that it was dangerous to walk across - and impossible to use a lawn mower to control the yarrow and bull thistles.
They still have access to the big pen (you can see some on the other side of the fence), but I think they will prefer living in the grassier, smaller area for a while.
