Quick and Easy: Cheesy Melt

Just for Dan on our 23rd wedding anniversary, La Pancietta wheat bread, and a gooey mess of melted cheese and garlic.

So easy! Just butter a ramekin, add cubed cheddar (about 3 ounces), minced garlic, and a sprinkle of grated cheese (Tomme Collins or Parmesan).

Both the loaf and the ramekin went into a preheated 300f oven for 20 minutes to melt the cheese, then I increased the temperature to 400f for 10 minutes to get it slightly browned.

The bread was heated through with a crispy exterior, and the cheese? Just delicious. I took my portion first, before the real bread ever got near.

I used to make this all the time when we were first married.
