My old backyard

When we first got married, Dan and I resided for five years in the "Carter Hill House" located very near the apex of Carter Hill (the highest point in Highgate Center); the 3-bedroom ranch is now a rental.  

This is what we saw today in the CHH backyard:

(The third deer in the alfalfa field is out of frame.)

I miss seeing the deer, bunnies, turkeys, jays and cardinals, but not the blood-sucking insects that come with living close to 90-acres of woods.  Still, it's nice to drive by once in a while and check it out.
