Red Jasmine was fragrant right out of the box;
it's not sticky, which makes it difficult to eat with chopsticks.
You can see that there are a few white jasmine grains in this box. I wasn't sure what setting to use in the rice-maker, so I cooked this on the brown rice setting.
I highly recommend a rice maker if stove-top boil-overs and over-done/under-done rice has been your bane for years. At some point you must stop the madness and the mess.

So just what is a Fair Trade product? (from the Alter Eco website) "Fair Trade: is a form of global commerce where priority is given to trading with small and marginalized farmer groups, building trade relations based on solidarity and sustainability. This approach ensures them fair remuneration that covers the full cost of production and contributes to the continual improvement of working conditions and environmental sustainability."
In short, this means profits for small farmers. I'm all for that!
