This was in fact, the slowest market all year, and it coincided with the sale of Phish concert tickets up, down, and across the road. It's estimated that the line to the box office was a thousand people long, waiting for the doors to open.
Not a thousand farmer's market customers, unfortunately. But this photo made my day. It's of one of last week's silent auction winners carrying her new snowboard home.

Silent auction items, watermelons, pickles...and a dog that didn't like having its picture taken. I've taken hundreds of photos of animals at market over the years, and this is one of the few that translated so much personality to print. He hate me so much!
