Sugar Snow

This is the view of the farm from my porch last night during "Sugar Snow".   The flakes were so thick and heavy you couldn't keep them out of your eyes to see.

For those who don't live in Vermont, "Sugar Snow" happens this time of year when you have a warm daytime, and a cold system that moves in with nightfall.   Warm days/cold nights.  This weather is an indicator of favorable conditions for making maple syrup.
