I was taking the pony for a walk behind the barns, and said "Hello" to the Chicken Kitten as we passed by.
She decided to walk with us, the entire 40 minutes.
Buttercup didn't have much use for her company, and ignored her attempts to bond during her rests.
Almost back to the youngstock barn.
Buttercup stopped to "flibber" her lips in the puddle. She didn't drink it, but seemed to want the experience of playing with it - like children blow bubbles into their chocolate milk.
She's such a good pony! When she returns to the barn, she wants that halter gone (tries to rub it off against me), and sniffs around before going back to her pen on her own. I don't blame her for wanting it off, her skin had grown around the red halter she came with; this new green one is very loose, but I think, she remembers the discomfort.
She gets a treat of diet pellets after her walk, but today it was mixed with some aspirin - she had her hooves trimmed in the morning and was really sore.
Nom, nom, nom.
The Chicken Kitten shadowed us to the very end, making sure everything was back where it is supposed to be.
