Why "cheetah"? Because these aren't labor-intensive meatballs, they are simply our own hot Italian sausages removed from the casing and dropped into sauce - a "cheat" that saves time and energy (mine).
Wheatless linguine, prepared according to the package directions.
I only had one cup of my own red sauce in the freezer, so I boosted the yield with a can of sauce (still cleaning out the pantry, and trying not to be such a hoarder).
Meatballs are squeezed out of the sausage casing into a simmering sauce; covered and cooked for 15 -20 minutes. I tasted it and adjusted the seasoning, adding black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano and basil.
Easy peasy, tasty meatballs without work.
To take it to another level, I added about 7 ounces of our own grated Tomme Collins cheese (any sharp, hard grating cheese would suffice).
Another quick and easy meal in under an hour!
