Wild for Rice: Purple Jasmine

We eat a lot of rice in this wheat-free household.

A variety that I've tried recently is
Purple Jasmine from Thailand, with its outrageous color and sticky, chewy bite. If you like to use chopsticks (as I do) this is a glutinous grain that is easily manipulated with stainless steel sticks.

Isn't it beautiful? Those are white jasmine grains mixed in.

I should mention that I have a lovely Japanese rice-making machine, and followed the directions for mixed rice.
