Egg supply tightening

It's that time of year again, when the chickens nearly stop production of eggs due to the declining daylight hours. Some are molting and losing their feathers; at the height of the summer I was collecting 60 eggs a day, now only 20 are found from 80 birds.
When they are moved to their winter pen in the calf barn they will start to lay more eggs again, the artificial lights fool some (not all) into thinking it is spring.
