Dan is heading out to the tractor with an old dump truck box hitched to it parked in one of our fields. It has been filled full of large "fieldstone" rocks that were picked off the soil by a mechanical "rock rake" piloted by his brother, Denis (too far away to photograph). Fields to be planted in crops must be smoothed over, lest rocks break the equipment used to plant and harvest them. We are putting in corn, alfalfa, and soybeans for cattle feed.
