The greeting committee. A certain group will always show up whenever they hear the back door to the garage close. They've been conditioned to respond and follow me to get cheese trimmings, vegetable peelings, and their favorite treat, leftover french fries from the local diner.
It was a very bright day and chickens hate the sun, but they wanted those fries really bad.
Clearly this chicken is not into fried food, but you can see how shady this tree has gotten in just one year - plenty of room for many birds to stay cool.
I'm still working on getting a photo of the new rooster; he's very shy.
