Wheatless: Pasta d'oro salad

This is the first cold pasta salad I've made with non-wheat pasta.  This brand is made from corn!

Here is the base I make for all my creamy dressings: 2 tsp garlic powder, 2 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp celery salt, 1 tsp mustard powder, 1 tsp Bangkok Blend from Penzey's for a kick, 1 cup mayonnaise.  Mix together. If too thick, or more dressing is necessary add Cheetah Dressing (Newman's Own Ranch Salad Dressing).  Heck, you could use Cheetah Dressing for the whole thing!

Red and Yellow peppers, sliced, and some frozen peas (about 2 cups).  You can't have a proper pasta salad without frozen peas!  I boiled 1/2 the package of pasta according to the directions.

The result: I was told the pasta tastes like corn, but to me it tastes like corn oil - exactly like corn oil.  It made a serviceable pasta salad on day one, but the next day I found that the pasta had become harder and had an objectionable "not cooked enough" texture.  It still tasted really good, though.
