Project Sunflower: Heads Down

Sunflower in Late August

 Well, all the flowers in the main field not knocked down by the wind have lost their petals and are facing down.  The secondary field was sown very wet, so the few flowers that didn't wash away are still in bloom, but with a lot of weeds.  I haven't been to the third field yet because it is next to the woods and  I am scared of bears.

Irene knocked a lot of apples off the trees that line the sunflower field.  We are picking them up to feed to the pigs.
