I bought Dan loads of sunflower seeds this spring because they are his favorite flower - but, he never got around to planting them.
And yet, we have plenty popping up here and there, because the birds drop them on their exit from the feeder or something. In addition to three or four types of sparrows, we have one pair of cardinals, several pairs of rose-breasted grosbeaks, red finches, and too many yellow finches and mourning doves to properly count, eating at the feeder.
