That, and the old furnace sprung a leak in the water reservoir that we didn't think would be worth fixing. I'll have more about it later, since I seem to have lost all the literature on it. As I recall it will have less emissions and more efficiency than the old one.

Corn: not for eating, it's for heating!
During one of the rainy days, we took delivery of a corn-burning furnace to replace our 16-year-old outdoor wood-burner. The farm is nearing the end of its supply of harvestable tree tops and cull trees to burn, so we decided to switch to corn so that the other two wood-burning furnaces used on the farm would continue to be viable for a while longer.
